The Crab apple flower, also called Mulus Pumila or wild apple flower in French. It has five white petals, sometimes with some shades of pink, a color that captures the light well and recalls purity, arranged around a heart made up of yellow stamens. It is a flower with a fragile appearance, with delicate petals, because its roots are shallow. It blooms in spring, during the months of May and June, to then produce small apples in the surrounding areas which are picked after the first frosts.
It grows on wild apple trees, trees that can reach five to ten meters in height with a dense crown, which gives them a robust appearance. It grows throughout Europe and has a very developed capacity for adaptation, because it can grow on all types of soil. They also tolerate negative temperatures very well. The Crab apple is a forest tree that is quite independent, as trees of the same species rarely grow next to each other.
