Quercetin is an antioxidant of the flavoid class commonly found in apples, onions and citrus fruits. Its use has been widely established, especially in Europe, for the treatment of various diseases such as allergy symptoms, diabetic complications and cardiovascular problems, due to its anti-inflammatory effects.
Although quercetin is mainly used for people with allergy symptoms (itchy eyes and throat, sneezing and nasal congestion), it also promotes cardiovascular health due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It reduces low-density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation, promotes healthy blood pressure and blood clotting, increases nitric oxide (NO) production, and reduces the risk of metabolic syndrome. Quercetin can relieve headaches and other types of pain because it inhibits the production of inflammatory signaling molecules through a mechanism similar to aspirin. Quercetin also inhibits the release of histamine from certain immune cells, which is why it is widely used in people with constant (such as dust) and seasonal (such as hay fever) allergies.
Quercetin can give a boost to anyone at risk or suffering from cardiovascular disease, allergies or headaches. AOR Quercetin is also unique because it does not contain citrus, unlike most quercetin products on the market.
AOR Quercetin is sourced from citrus-free sources. AOR offers two sizes of this formula to take full advantage of the health benefits of this powerful flavonoid product.
