Ahiflower® SAP provides a natural, non-GMO, vegan, and sustainable source of PUFAs. Preclinical and clinical studies conducted with Ahiflower® have demonstrated the ability of Ahiflower® to increase the accumulation of EPA and DHA in tissues. Ahiflower® SAP is unique because it provides high amounts of stearidonic acid (SDA), which is a precursor to EPA and DHA, without the need for ALA and the enzymes necessary to convert ALA to EPA. In addition, Ahiflower® SAP is a rich source of γ-linolenic acid (GLA), which is known to reduce inflammation.
