A healthy vaginal flora reduces the risk of fungal proliferation, which reduces the risk of infections. This was observed in the same study, which demonstrated that Lactobacillus plantarum KABP-061 helps reduce the number of recurrences by 60% in women with recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis.
