Cranberry is used in herbal medicine to prevent urinary tract infections. Bearberry is used in herbal medicine to relieve symptoms associated with minor urinary tract infections. Source of antioxidants that promote good health. Includes five other herbal extracts: barberry, corn, caperberry, saw palmetto, and stinging nettle. Kidney Complex has been specially formulated with herbs, such as cranberry and bearberry, used in herbal medicine to prevent and relieve symptoms associated with minor urinary tract infections. Cranberries are high in antioxidant polyphenols, such as proanthocyanidin, which decreases the adhesion of E. coli bacteria to the urinary epithelial cells that line the bladder. Regular consumption of cranberries helps reduce the incidence of urinary tract infections in women at high risk of urinary tract infections, in addition to alleviating the symptoms of lower urinary tract infections in men. Similarly, bearberry is used in herbal medicine to relieve symptoms associated with minor urinary tract infections, including burning sensations and frequent urination. To further support good health, Kidney Complex contains bearberry, an herb traditionally used in herbal medicine to stimulate bile production and relieve digestive upset. This blend contains other important herbs, including corn, burning nettle, saw palmetto, and caperberry. Caperberry, also known as Varuna in Ayurvedic medicine, has a long history of traditional use.
Adults: Take four capsules twice daily, a few hours before or after taking any medication or natural health product, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Take with food to minimize gastric discomfort. Do not take with acidic foods or medications that may acidify urine. For occasional use only. Consult your healthcare practitioner for use beyond one week.
